
Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), the Chair, Parks and Garage Management Committee, has yesterday warned members of the big agency against being lured into secret cults and other illegal groups.
This came in the light of the sudden death of one of them, Sulaimon Lawal (Ariku) in a cult clash, “I have said it on several occasions that our work is a noble one which requires people of good character. This will erase the wrong perception out there. Lawal’s case is unfortunate. It will make us look into screening of our members the more to flush out the bad eggs among us,” he said.
Akinsanya implores security agencies to expedite actions on apprehending the perpetrators in order to prevent any future reoccurrence.
Meanwhile, the Parks and Garages Management Committee, Ikosi-Isheri, has addressed a formal letter to the State Management Committee, seeking for assistance and in terms of restoring security fully to the campus.
In a letter signed yesterday by the Secretary, Comrade Adeyemi Adebola, the branch E members said their activities are being conducted in fear of the unknown.
While announcing Lawal’s sudden demise, the body complained about insecurity in the Mile 12 Area of their jurisdiction.
The branch said: “We use this medium to seek your assistance to curb the insecurity in our area. All the stakeholders in the transportation sector in the area are afraid of being the next target.”
