The Chairman, Lagos State Parks and Garages Management, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), has given the popular actor, Olaiya Igwe a plot of land. This came two weeks after he was gifted with a car by Oluomo.
Igwe revealed this in the course of a live Instagram session with actress Kemi Afolabi.
Oluomo allegedly gave him the house after he came down with heavy criticisms owing to his decision to prostrate while trying to appreciate him for gifting him a car.
You will recall that in a video released by Oluomo’s son, elated Olaiya Igwe prostrated before the latter in appreciation of the good gesture. An action that did not land in the good book of many who believe he is older than Oluomo.
While justifying his action, the movie star who spoke in Yoruba said he couldn’t understand reasons why anyone will be concerned or bothered about how he chooses to reckon his benefactor, insisting that the humility he brought to play by appreciating his benefactor will go a long way in paving ways for additional gifts.
Kemi Afolabi on her part revealed how she has regularly benefited the good gestures of the socialite. She said he sent him money to augment the cost of her treatment.
Meanwhile, actress Jaiye Kuti was one of those who justified Olaiya’s choice to prostrate before MC Oluomo in appreciation after the latter surprised him with the car.
Defending Olaiya’s actions in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday, Jaiye Kuti said she would have done the same if she were in the actor’s shoes.
Speaking in the Yoruba language, she said:
“Be grateful for everything, value the act in which it has come, show gratitude not attitude….there is something we call, unexpected kindness and if God makes you receive unexpected kindness, the way you will show appreciation will make people think you are mad. “If a young child buys me a house when I least expect it, I will roll on the floor too. I pray God blesses me with unexpected kindness”
