Outdoor Advertisers Want Billboards Designated As Collaterals

The President, Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria, Chief Emmanuel Ajufo has recently enjoined the apex bank to recognize billboards as viable collaterals.

Emmanuel made this known at the Annual General Meeting of the association which came with the theme, “OOH business and Nigerian regulatory laws’ held in Lagos.

He said in getting funds for the growth of business, billboards should be designated and recognised as collaterals owing to their economic value.

He said, “We are therefore going to pursue the recognition by Central Bank of Nigeria, to use our billboards as collaterals.

“As an association, we will continue to push for things that will bring sustainable growth to the industry and out-of-home advertising business.”

The President maintained that the AGM, apart from being a platform to render the accounts of their stewardship to members, it also avails external stakeholders the opportunity to brainstorm on how to accelerate the industry.
