Otunba Bisi Kolawole, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDPh) in the ongoing Ekiti Governorship election has won his polling unit with a total of 98 votes out of the 110 accredited voters.

Otunba Bisi Kolawole, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDPh) in the ongoing Ekiti Governorship election has won his polling unit with a total of 98 votes out of the 110 accredited voters.

The ruling All Progressives Congress polled a total of 13 votes while the Social Democratic Party polled just two votes. Labour Party (LP) recorded one vote while two votes were voided.

The Electoral Officer however said a total number of 322 voters were registered but only 116 showed up to accredit.
Speaking to journalists after the result was announced, Kolawole, who lamented voters’ apathy, said he was happy to deliver his polling unit with a landslide victory.

He said he was hopeful of winning the election at the end of the day.
