Kwara State Governor Breaks Record, Nominates A 26-Year-Old Corps Member, As Commissioner.

The executive governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has nominated four women on Tuesday to the State House of Assembly, as nominees for the post of a commissioner, one if which is a 26 years old serving Corp member, Miss Joana Kolo who is having her compulsory one-year youth service in Jigawa state.

The nomination from the governor will see Miss Kolo as the youngest Commissioner to be nominated in the history of the state. 

She’s a graduate of Kwara State University in 2018 with the course of study, Library Science.

If her nomination is confirmed by the state house of Assembly, she will hold the record as Nigerian youngest senator who was formerly held by 27 years old, Oyo state commissioner, Oluwaseun Fakorede.

She’s having her place of primary assignment at Model Boarding Junior Secondary School, Guri which she functions as a teacher. 

She will be screened in the next two weeks after her NYSC. 

The nomination was announced by the Speaker of the Assembly, Yakubu Danladi, at the plenary of the Assembly.
