Nigeria’s Super Eagles have beaten the Pharaohs of Egypt 1:0 in their opening match at the AFCON 2021 currently going in Cameroon.
The Super Eagles put up a splendid performance dominating the game which later paid off in the 30th minute when Kelechi Ihenancho scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box.
With this win the Nigerian team now tops the group and they also broke the Egyptian team’s unbeaten record their last 16 group matches at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Liverpool’s talistic man, Mohamed Salah was marked out by the Nigeria’s defense line who made sure he did not score any goal today.
The next game for the Super Eagles is against Sudan on Saturday as Egypt will face Guinea-Bissau on the same day with little room who will be all out to make sure they win as back to back defeats for the Pharaohs could be the end of their tournament.
