The Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, just disclosed that the highly anticipated National Carrier, is expected to take off by 22nd April.


He made the disclosure while discussing with state’s house Correspondents on Wednesday after the week’s Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting.

The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Villa, Abuja.

He disclosed that the National Carrier will be administered by a private company, while the government will hold a 5% stake.

He said the Nigeria entrepreneurs will hold 46%, while the 49% will be set aside for yet to be assigned strategic equity partners and foreign investors.

He further noted that the national carrier, when operational, will create about 70,000 jobs for Nigerians.
