British actor Damson Idris has joined those celebrating the life of veteran Nigerian actor, Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe.

Recall that Reference Daily News had announced the death of the veteran on the 22nd of November 2021.

Nigerian celebrities and other notable figures such as Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have celebrated the life of the actor and his contributions to the Nollywood film industry.

However, it seems that Baba Suwe impact was not only national as a British actor, Damson Idris has revealed on Twitter that the veteran was the first person to teach him about comedy.

He tweeted:

“Rest in peace Baba Suwe. A Nigerian Icon and the man who first taught me about comedy. God bless.”

Damson Idris currently stars on John Singleton’s crime drama Snowfall and played Co-lead in Outside the wire.
