2023 Presidency: Nigeria Needs Leadership That Can Bring About Unity – Atiku
Former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has recommended the kind of leadership Nigeria needs ahead of 2023 elections.
The Wazirin Adamawa said Nigeria needs a leadership that can bring about unity to the entire country.
Atiku expressed hope that the country would thrive under a leadership that would unify and promote peace.
He spoke at the 70th birthday lecture of Engr. Raymond Aleogho Dokpesi, with the theme: “Technology: A Missing Link in Nigeria’s Development,” on Thursday.
The former presidential candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, stressed that Nigeria needs a leader that can restructure the country and reform the economy.
According to him: “Nigeria needs a leadership that can unify the country, bring stability, restructure the country, reform the economy and bring about cohesion to the nation.”
Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, had claimed that Atiku and governor of Sokoto, Aminu Tambuwal, have indicated interest to run for the presidency in 2023, alleging that the North offers the party a better chance of returning to power than the South.
