Breaking: Four Farmers Abducted In Ekiti, Will Not Be Released Until 50M Ransom Is Settled

Farmers numbering four have been kidnapped on their farm in Ekiti. This dastardly act was reported to have been carried out by gunmen, who have threatened not to release them until a ransom of 50M is paid.

The Police Command of the state has as at the time of compiling this news, confirmed the incident but denied knowing of the request for ransom.

It is reported that a king in the state, Benjamin Osho, was kidnapped and used to request 20 Million ransom a week before the latest incident. This was without the consideration of his position as the Eleda of Eda Ile, Ekiti East Local Government Area of the state.

The latest victims of the incident were said to have been abducted on Monday at the Ikosu Farm settement, Ikosu, Moba Local Government Area of the state.

According to Ayodeji, the kidnappers have called and they have requested of 50 million.

When contacted, Sunday Abutu, the Police Public Relations Officer, said the command had deployed policemen to comb the sprawling forest region surrounding Ikosun-Ekiti up to the Kwara border.

“We are not aware of any ransom being demanded from the family, rather, our men are in the bush working hard to rescue the farmers.
